Correlation analysis of physical and mechanical parameters of inland fluvial-lacustrine soft soil based on different survey techniques

Abstract Based on the collected soil property index test data of more than 2,500 groups inland fluvial-lacustrine soft soil, correlation physical and mechanical parameters this was systematically analyzed. The results show that indexes are close to marine while its higher. However, variation coefficient is much larger indexes. In addition, it found cone penetration significantly correlated with by establishing a series empirical relationships between static point resistance natural unit weight, liquidity index, quick shear cohesion, vane strength. On basis previous research results, disturbance strength can be converted into in situ deriving theoretical formula degree. calculation process above conversion relation explained detail through an engineering case, which indicates formulas have good applicability for soil.
